Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for various research and non-research positions in DSTMahamana Centre of Excellence for Climate Change Research established under the National Mission for Strategic Knowledge on Climate Change (NMSKCC), DST at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Job Title: JRF/SRF* (5 posts)
Salary: JRF: @ 31,000/p.m + HRA SRF@ 35,000/- p.m + HRA
Eligibility Criteria:
For JRF: Master’s degree with at least 60% marks in Chemical Engg or related areas with UGC/ CSIR/ICAR/ICMR NET/ GATE. Upper age limit- as per DST rule (relaxation of age as per GOI norms)
For SRF: As JRF with two years of research experience
Desirable:
Expertise in climate change, aerosol, water resource management, climate-resilient agriculture, agroecology, human health and climate change, computer programing, etc. Knowledge of GRADS or GIS or MATLAB or R software etc. will be added advantage.
The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project. However, the appointments are initially for six months, but extendable depending upon the performance of the selected candidates.
