ExxonMobil is looking for 3-5 years of experienced engineers with an emphasis on subsurface analysis and data management to provide reservoir engineering support across ExxonMobil’s global portfolio. Check out all the details on the same below:

Job Title: Reservoir Engineer

Location: Bengaluru, KA, IN

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree from a recognized university in petroleum or chemical engineering with minimum GPA 7.0 and above

• 3-5 years experience in the upstream oil and gas production industry

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical operating parameters through data and trend analysis

• Experience in performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of well performance and reservoir management

• Experience in reservoir surveillance, analysis, and report writing

Knowledge of basic reservoir engineering concepts including:

  •  Key reservoir/fluid characterization properties such as porosity, permeability, saturation, wettability, capillary pressure, and PVT
  • Basic good design and completion/stimulation technologies
  • Depletion planning and resource migration for primary, secondary and enhanced recovery mechanisms
  • Reservoir simulation and history matching
  • Well testing and production allocation principles
  • Analytical performance prediction including decline curve analysis and material balance calculations
  • Pressure transient analysis
  • Network modeling and basics on facilities operations
  • Various artificial lift methods and systems
  • Experience in programming languages such as Python will be an advantage
  • Experience working in Tableau and Power BI is preferred
  • Experience with Engineering Applications such as IPM, Eclipse, and Ecrin (Saphir) will be an advantage
  • Able to work shift hours

Responsibilities:

• Monitor production data and provide insights and recommendations based on analysis

• Work with Production Units to analyze field and well performance and advise on production uplift

• Analyze well and field data to establish trends, recognize deviations, and identify data quality issues

• Generate plots and reports to communicate field performance

• Identify new opportunities for improved production

• Collaborate with engineers and operations personnel on global asset teams

• Field development activities – generate flow streams through the use of multiple methods (material balance/analogs/simulation / other…)

• Integrate with adjacent disciplines – facilities, wells & geoscience teams to debottleneck/optimize
