NIT Raipur SERB-DST Project – Chemical Engineering Job Opening

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Biotechnology at National Institute of Technology, Raipur for a SERB-DST sponsored research project titled “In situ application of a Microbial Peroxide producing cell for oxidative depolymerization of lignin and its subsequent valorization”.

Job Title: JRF/one

Principal Investigator: Dr. Pratima Gupta

Broad area of Research: Microbial electrochemical Technology

Duration of the project: 3 years. Initially, the appointment for JRF is one year

Emoluments (Rs.): 31,000 + HRA (as per institute norms) per month for first two years and 35,000 + HRA (as per institute norms) per month for the third year

Qualification: Candidates must hold a 1st Class M.Tech/M.Sc/MS/ME/ in Chemical engineering or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with GATE/NET qualifications.

Candidates having good knowledge in Microbial electrochemical systems will be given preference.
