Govt CeNS JRF Vacancy – Center For Nano & Soft Matter Sciences
Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB): No. CRG/2020/001779, entitled “Rational design, synthesis, and characterization of optically active monomers and dimers capable of exhibiting technologically significant liquid crystal phases”.
Job Title: Junior Research Fellow
Eligibility: The candidates who have obtained M.Sc. Degree in Organic Chemistry from recognized Universities/Institutes with a minimum of 60% (first class) and qualified CSIR/UGC-NET will be preferred. The candidates who have either appeared or appearing (within 30 days) for the final year/semester’s exam with a minimum of 60 % Marks in the previous year/semesters may also apply.
Salary: The amount of JRF fellowship for NET/GATE qualified candidates will be as per SERB norms. For others, the monthly fellowship will be Rs.18,000/- for a probationary period of six months and will be enhanced based on the recommendations of the Evaluation Committee.
Duration: The initial appointment will be for a period of six months and extendable up to the duration (~2 ½ yrs) of the project. The above position is purely temporary. The selected candidate will be permitted to register for Ph. D. program strictly
as per the existing norms (after fulfilling the Ph.D. admission criteria) of CeNS and affiliated university/institute regulations.Last date for submission of application: 30 May 2021
