Applications are invited in the prescribed Proforma for filling up of position(s) of
Project Associate–I, Project Associate–II, and Principal Project Associate on a purely
temporary basis. The detail of the Sponsored Project under which engagement is proposed
to be made is as under:

industrial wastewater treatment

Qualifications

For Project Associate-I and/ or II ( 4 posts)

i. M.Sc in Organic Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or equivalent, For Principal Project Associate (1 post)

i. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent, and

ii. Eight Years’ experience in Research and Development (R & D) in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or Science & Technology (S&T) Organizations and Scientifi

c activities and Services OR ME or M. Tech in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent with six Years’ experience in Research and Development (R & D) in
Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science & Technology (S&T) Organizations and Scientific activities and Services

OR

i. Doctoral degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ MS from a recognized University or
equivalent

ii. Four Years’ experience in Research and Development (R & D) in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or Science & Technology (S&T) Organizations and Scientific activities and Services

Desirable experience, if any Experience in industrial wastewater treatment & reuse.
Advanced oxidation processes for treatment of wastewater

Age limit 35 years for Project Associate-I & II 40 years for Principal Project Associate

Job requirement The project involves the development of suitable techniques specifically the design and development of catalysts and suitable reactors for the treatment of wastewater coming from chemical and allied industries. The work would involve laboratory and pilot plant experimentation on the treatment of industrial wastewater.

Experience on material synthesis particularly environmental catalysts and AOPs is highly desired. Mathematical modeling, kinetic studies, etc. will be advantages.

Consolidated emoluments per month

Project Associate-I

i. 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.

ii. 25,000/-+ HRA for others who do not fall under

(I) above Principal Project Associate 49000/-+HRA

*Age limit, as shown above, is relaxable by 5 years for statutory groups and women.
The engagement will be initially for a period of six months which may be extended or
curtailed depending on the duration of the tenure of sponsored project/ satisfactory
performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case may be. The engagement will be
purely on a temporary basis and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise
and shall not entitle the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for
his/her consideration against any CSIR/NCL post/fellowship.

The prescribed educational qualifications are a bare minimum and merely possessing of
same will not entitle candidates to be called for an interview. Where the number of applications received in response to this Notice of engagement is large, it may not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates. Based on the recommendation of the Screening Committee, the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to reasonable limits after taking into consideration qualifications and experience over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed in the Notice. Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates, to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying.

No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer of engagement.
