IIT Mandi Recruitment – Chemistry Project Associate/JRF Post

Project Title: “Designing 3D Printable Smart Composite Hydrogel-Inks for Tissue Engineering Applications”

Job Title/No.of posts: Project Associate-1/JRF (One)
Qualification & experience:
Eligibility: MSc or equivalent degree in Chemistry/Polymer chemistry with minimum 65% marks.
Desirable: Candidates with valid NET/GATE qualification and/or experience in working in
experimental chemistry laboratory will be given preference in shortlisting for interview. Candidates with good knowledge of (polymer/organic) synthesis, nanomaterials synthesis, and instrumentation techniques such as NMR, IR, DLS, SEM, TEM etc. will be preferred.
Emoluments: Maximum Rs. 31,000/- INR p.m. for first two years
Duration: 6-36 months (Initially the offer will be for six months followed by extension based on satisfactory performance and fund availability)
Job description: This is a dynamic project involving the development of 3D Printable Smart Composite Hydrogel-Inks. The job will involve the synthesis of functional polymers, colloids, chemical
functionalization, advanced characterization, project planning, chemicals procurement, managing, executing, and report preparation.Age limit: The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years as on the date of advertisement
(SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically handicapped candidates will be entitled for the relaxation in age limit as per the government norms)
Instructions:

3. The coordinators have the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for
interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the
minimum prescribed in the announcement or not to select anyone for this post.
4. Merely fulfilling the eligibility requirement does not guarantee to shortlist for an interview; additional criteria may be imposed for shortlisting. The shortlisted candidates will only be informed about the date and time of the online interview. (No information or communication will be made with candidates who are not shortlisted.)
5. The nature of the post is purely temporary (on a contract basis).
6. Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
