Job Description:
Medical Writer (ICF and Plain language documents) Under minimal supervision, the Medical Writer uses professional judgment, expertise, and knowledge of regulatory requirements to interpret clinical documents and other source materials to develop documents that are clear, accurate, concise, comprehensive, devoid of promotional overtone, and written in plain language appropriate for a non-scientific lay audience. Communicates with internal team members, and may communicate with clients, to agree timelines and responsibilities to complete work within scope, budget and timelines. Assumes responsibility for ensuring that the finished document is complete, accurate and complies with approved format and content requirements.
Job Qualification
BS degree in pharmacy or Doctoral level degree in a biomedical field. 2 years experience in interpreting and using medical communication documents Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of medical terminology
and basic statistical/clinical concepts Problem-solving capabilities and excellent organizational skills Excellent grammatical and communication skills Writer skills, i.e. command of outlining, drafting, revising, and reviewing. Basic editorial and proofreading skills Detail-oriented. Methodical. Goal-driven.
