Role and responsibilities:
• Maintain compliance with HSE policies and procedures. Adopt HSE requirements for safe laboratory operations.
• Operate an assigned group of Analytical Instruments.
• Collect, data from instruments enter those results into LIMS.
• Able to follow written methods and interpret analytical data for various characterization techniques.
• Interact with R&D and Pilot Plant staff to provide support, analyzing and characterizing materials for Honeywell UOP Technologies.
• Communicate well with co-associates in the group and with internal customers.
• Able to maintain statistical control charts for all the analyses
• Recommend and implement safety, quality and productivity improvements.
• Ability to work in shifts as per the Laboratory shift schedule.
• Skilled in operation of analytical instruments pertaining to hydrocarbon industry like ICP, Gas chromatography, Auto titration, distillation, density meter, combustion-based instruments, etc.
Additional Qualifications:
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and good laboratory practices.
• Computer literate – including MS word and excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment while making improvements in analytical activities by consultation with Lab owner.
• Effective organizational skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently, and in team environments.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Chemical Laboratory operations. - Hands-on experience on analytical instruments in a Refinery/Petrochemical/ Chemical Laboratory.
