CSIR-NAL Project Associate Vacancy 2020 – Applications Invited

CSIR-NAL Project Associate Applications are invited from qualified candidates (Indian nationals) who meet the necessary educational and work requirements for engagement of Project Staff to work in various projects at CSIR NAL.CSIR-NAL is a unit under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.

The engagement is purely on a temporary and contract basis. The engagement shall be for
a short period (i.e., 3 months, 6 months & 1 year) and co-terminus with the project. The
extension of tenure of any project staff beyond the initial engagement will be subject to
review by a Review Committee. The details of posts, qualification, experience, emoluments
and age limit for engagement of Project Staff are as per CSIR guidelines is as under:

Eligibility: MSc Chemistry

Salary: Rs 20,000/- + HRA

  • 31,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests –
    CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A
    selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions
  • Rs 25,000/- +HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

Age Limit: 50 years for Project Assistant

Job Requirements (Desirable Skills) common for the above posts:

  • Experience in the metallic and composite tooling work
  • Composite Fabrication Knowledge Tooling for Composite Work
  • Fabrication of sensor and characterization
  • Evaluation of estimation codes for a high-performance aircraft
  • Electronic circuit hardware and software using Labview and Matlab, Signal Processing
    and Data Analysis
  • The operation, Maintenance and calibration of Environmental Test Chambers
    VHDL coding, Internet of Things (IoT) & Electronics & Communication
  • Knowledge of Autocad / CATIA & 2D drawing generation tools
  • Experience in SOM based design of mechanical structures. Working experience in
    CATIA, Solidworks modelling and drafting tools
  • One year or more experience in CAD Modelling & Drawing of Aerospace structural
    components
  • Composite material testing and fabrication
  • To deposit spin-valve film using a sputtering system
  • Polymer characterization, testing, processing of polymer composites
  • CFD Modelling and steady flow analysis over Combat/Civil Aircraft at various flow
    conditions
  • Experience in carrying out Aeroelastic analysis in NASTRAN
  • Experience in Signal processing, control simulation, Hardware and Software in loop
    studies, collision avoidance tools: Matlab and Simulink
  • Handling Fiber optic sensors, installation on structures, setting up experiments, data
    acquisition during the tests
  • Experience in Strength of Materials based design of mechanical structures. Working
    experience in CATIA modelling
  • Fixture design/fabrication/ testing for mechanical testing (Static, dynamic, vibration of
    structures Min. 2 years’ experience on CAD modelling and drawing of tools for Aircraft composite components
  • Finite Element Analysis, Knowledge of Solid Mechanics and strength of materials
  • To develop spin-valve current sensor chip
  • EM Characterization of stealth materials
  • RCS simulation and Radar absorption analysis
  • One year or more experience in CAD Modelling & Drawing of Aerospace structural
    components Radar Absorber Analysis
  • 2D & 3D modelling, FEM analysis, Strong knowledge in Strength of Materials and
    Kinematics of Machinery
  • Electromagnetic design, analysis and fabrication of planar/non-planar radar-absorbing
    structures (RAS) for X-band applications
  • Design and Simulation of Antennas
  • To assist the Project Leader in various activities related to the project
  • Preference will be given to those with experience as per the desirable skills and ability
    to work as a part of a team.

General Conditions:

(a) The engagement which is on contract basis in respect of all above positions will confer
no rights on the candidates, whatsoever, implicitly and/or explicitly for their
continuation beyond tenure /absorption/ regularization in CSIR. Engagement of Project
Staff may be terminated at any time at a notice of one month from either side or one-month stipend in lieu thereof.

(b) Project Staff would be governed by the CSIR Guidelines relating to the engagement of
project staff in CSIR Projects including NMITLI projects, OLP/MLP, Contract R&D and
non-CSIR funded Projects issued by CSIR vide OM No. 4/CMG/2020-TMDII dated 13
August 2020.

(c) Reservation (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) will be applicable as per CSIR/Govt. of India instructions
on the subject.

(d) Director, CSIR-NAL reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of positions and
also cancel the recruitment process for the positions mentioned above at any stage of
the recruitment process. The decision of the Director, CSIR-NAL will be final and binding
on all.

(e) Candidature will be purely provisional subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
