CSIR-NCL Recruitment 2020 – Chemistry Project Associate
Applications are invited in the prescribed proforma to fill up the position(s) of Project
Associate II on a purely temporary basis. The detail of the Sponsored Project under which
engagement is planned to be made is as under:

Job Title: Project Associate II
Project Title: Bioefficacy of Transfluthrin 0.15% w/w based coil and Transfluthrin (1%) based Incense Stick against 3 species of mosquitoes, viz., Aedes aegypti, Anopheles
stephensi and Culex quinquefasciatus
Minimum prescribed educational Qualifications
Project Associate-II: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry/ Chemistry with a minimum of 55% marks with 2 Years of research experience in synthetic organic
chemistry.
Desirable experience, if any Preference will be given to the candidates having
experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
Age limit* 35 years
Job requirement Multi-step organic synthesis and characterization
Consolidated emoluments per month Rs. 35,000/- (Project Associate-II)
No. of positions to be filled up One position.
As shown above, the * Age limit is relaxed by five years regarding candidates belonging to
the SC/ST community and three years in respect of candidates belonging to the OBC
community.
The engagement will be for five months. The arrangement will be purely temporary and shall
not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise, and shall notentitle the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for his/her
consideration against any CSIR/NCL post/fellowship.

- The application in the prescribed Proforma (enclosed herewith) duly completed and signed, together with good quality readable scanned copies of relevant certificates/ testimonials, latest CV of the candidate, and photographs should be preferred by email to [email protected] by 5:00 pm of 10 November 2020, with the subject as: “Application for Project Associate II position.”
- Please combine the application and all the supporting documents in a single PDF (max size 10 MB) and attach it to the email. Will did not consider emails with multiple attachments and those received after the closing date and time. We will accept only email applications. The prescribed educational qualifications are a bare minimum, and merely possessing the same will not entitle the candidates to interview. The number of applications received in response to this Notice of engagement is large. It may not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates. Based on the Screening Committee’s recommendation, the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to reasonable limits after considering qualifications and experience over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed in the Notice. Therefore, it will be in the candidate’s interest to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field when applying.
- The list of the candidates shortlisted by the Screening Committee for being interviewed would be informed through email on 11 November 2020. The candidates may also ascertain the information after 11 November 2020 via email to [email protected], or through phone: 020- 25902973. The interview will be conducted on 12 November 2020, from 10:00, am onwards online through a suitable medium such as Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Cisco WebEx, etc. we will provide the meeting link only to the shortlisted candidates. The candidates recommended by the interview committee will have to join the duty immediately on receipt of the offer of engagement.
