Responsibilities
- Conducting laboratory experimentation
- Conducting literature search on assigned developmental project related topics
- Documentation of test methods and test results
- Implementation of laboratory best practices for safe working
- Assisting in lab documentation for internal & external audits
- Manage laboratory consumables and equipment
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry with around 4 years of experience in Organic Synthesis –Well acquainted with GLP, safety and compliance during small and medium scale (up to 1 Kg) reactions in laboratory. Processes required to carry out organic reactions in the lab including setting up reaction assembly, appropriate and safe handling of solvents and chemicals and good housekeeping.
- Has a passion for learning and enjoys synthetic laboratory work. Knowledge of characterization of molecules is preferred.
- Hands on experience in the synthesis of heterocylics, esters, ethers, sulfates, sulfonates, alkylation, amines, quats, amides, alcohols etc.
- Process development knowledge to adapt to pilot and commercial scale.
- Characterization – exposure to various analytical techniques HPLC, GC, IR and NMR is desirable.
- Excellent English communications skills – written and verbal
- Consistently excellent academic record. Minimum first class from SSC onwards.
- Ability to efficiently work in teams, share knowledge and findings on relevant platforms and adapt to changes in project requirements
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
