Job Title: Senior Research Associate-Preformulation Scientist

Educational Qualification: M.Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Sciences)
Technical/Functional Skills:
- Expertise in selecting the various excipients for developing the intravenous formulation for repeat dose efficacy/ toxicology studies in rodents and non-rodents.
- Should have hands-on experience on developing various types of formulations for preclinical pharmacokinetics, efficacy or toxicology studies in rodents and non-rodents.
- Should be well versed with the internet-based literature search and capable of implementing the Learnings as and when required.
- Should be able to deliver a scientific presentation in departmental journal club and write official Project reports.
- Brief knowledge of PK parameters.
- Hands-on experience in handling of HPLC.

3-6 years post qualification

Job Purpose:
As a Pre-formulation scientist, the incumbent
should be able to develop and optimize formulations for preclinical pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic and safety studies in rodents and non-rodent species.Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and design pre-formulation strategy for evaluating pharmacokinetic properties of NCEs/NBEs for rodent and nonrodent species including but not limited to parenteral and nonparental routes of administration.
- Design a strategy to develop various formulation to increase the oral bioavailability NCEs as required by the target.
- Develop various formulation types like emulsion, suspension, cream, ointment for preclinical PK studies in rodent and non-rodent.
- Advice on the characterization of the prepared formulation.
- Documenting the lab notebooks online and compound management.
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic team environment.
- Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety.
- Attend training on environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures imparted company.
