Requirements

Education

BTech (Chemical / Mechanical) and/or MSc. Chemistry

Working Experience

  • Minimum 5-6 professional experience
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge
  • Knowledge in handling technical matters; Application knowledge of industries such as adhesives, sealants, lubricants, polymers.

Skills

Fluent English speaking, writing and presentation; business acumen, interpersonal skills, Convincing skills, strategic, Proactive and conceptional thinking, conflict management

Operational:

  • Diverse technical knowledge in SBU products, technology, customers and industry.
    Sensitive to customer needs, industry trends and insights. Bring them to BASF and translate them to product proposal to customers
  • Proactively upgrade themselves what is happening in the market, industry, competitors, and share this internally.
  • Quickly grasp the essence and underlying issue when facing a technical problem.
  • Experiment and persevere in finding solutions
  • Seek mutual understanding and alignment with Customers
  • Identify customers technical or manufacturing needs and provide total solutions accordingly. Solicit customer feedback and able to obtain approval for the first time.
  • Utilize customer feedback to create solutions or proposals that capture new business opportunities and differentiate BASF from a competitor.

Main tasks

Strategic- Key Activities:

  • Opportunity Scouting: (mostly independently, or with minimal supervision)
  • Direct Interaction with Customers (mostly independently, or with minimal supervision)
    Providing Technical guidance on product, industry, customer to Technical Service, Sales and Industry
