ONGC Energy Centre invites applications from bright young enthusiastic engineering/science graduates/postgraduates from reputed institutes in the country, for a fixed tenure assignment by ONGC Energy Centre Trust. The details of the vacancy are as under

Job Title: Senior Project Fellow- Geothermal and Water Treatment Project

No. of Vacancy: 01

Eligibility Criteria: M.Tech in Chemical Engineering with minimum 60% marks + 2 years experience

Preference will be given to PhD candidates

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • To standardize and optimize the heat transfer in sub-surface conditions through porous media in sedimentary basins.
  • To carry out process optimization in the water treatment plant.
  • To carry out scale up study in hydrogen generation through I-S cycle partially open loop by H2S incineration to So2. Experimental set up for distillation column, chemical reactions involved in the process, Bunsen reaction, material balance & analysis, etc. Interpretation of experimental data and preparation of project-related documents including reports, etc.

Place of Posting: Delhi

Salary: Rs.48000/- per month which includes Fellowship Amount of Rs.37,000/ and HRA Amount of Rs. 11,000/-. This amount may be increased to Rs. 50,000/- per month after successful completion of one year and

to Rs. 54,000/- per month after successful completion of two years. Further, a one-time annual incentive of two-month fellowship amount may also be given to outstanding performers. Candidates holding/obtaining PhD Degrees while directly selected as Project Fellows are eligible for an additional incentive of Rs. 10,000/- per month

Terms of Engagement. The Project Fellow will be initially engaged for a period of one year, The tenure of engagement may be extended on need basis for a further period, subject to satisfactory individual performance and requirement of the Project. The total duration of engagement as a Project Fellow can be up to a maximum of four years.

Selection Process: Applicants will be considered through a two-tier selection procedure i.e. screening of Application Format, followed by Interview of Shortlisted Candidates.

Timeline: Successful candidates will have to join duty within 30 days from the date of receipt of Engagement Letter, failing which the offer of engagement shall automatically and without further reference stands cancelled,

Reimbursement of Travel Fare: The outstation candidates called for interview shall be paid 2nd A/C to & fro Rail fare on submission of rail tickets.
