Applications are invited for engagement of positions Project Assistant — I for the project entitled “Development of 250 W direct methanol fuel cell stack with in-house Nafion based hybrid membranes for portable and strategic applications” (MLP 0307), “Design and development of indigenous smart battery management systems for energy storage and E-vehicle applications” (MLP 0304), “Design and Development of MXenes enabled carbon nanostructured materials for Li-S batteries”(GAP 37/19) & “On the reduction of iR-losses, flow optimization and identifying alternative membranes to Nafion for 1 kW — 4 kW vanadium redox flow battery suitable for residential use” (GAP 03/20) , tenable at CSIR-CECRI Madras Centre, Taramani, Chennai-113 as detailed below:

Job Title: Project Associate – I (1 No.) Essential:
Eligibility: M.Sc.in Chemistry/Physics with 55% marks. Experience in the area of Lithium-ion battery 2D Materials Nanotechnology will be refereed
Salary: (25,000/- + FIRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
Duration: Initially for a period of 6 months likely to be extended until the

Interested candidates who fulfil the qualification, age, etc. may fill the application in the prescribed format and send the scanned application along with self-attested copies of certificates and testimonials in proof of Qualification, Age and Community (for SCIST/OBC), and a recent passport size photograph by e-mail to [email protected] on or before 06.09.2020. Shortlisted candidates who fulfils the qualification, age, etc. may be interviewed through MS-Team (Online) on 10th September. 2020 at 09.30 a.m. onwards. Freshers will be eligible for interview, only if they are able to submit (online), at least, Provisional Certificate or a consolidated mark sheet with the results. (Only for Sl.No. 1, Sl.No 2 & Sl.No . 5) Selection will be based on overall academic records and performance in the interview.
- The candidates who have already served in CMC & its participating units or any other Lab./lnstt. of CSIR as a Project Assistant / Project Fellow / JRF / SRF / Research Associate etc. for a period of 5 years or more are not eligible for the above engagements. The candidates who have served for a period less than 5 years, upon selection, their tenure will automatically end on completion of five years.
- If it is found at any stage of the process or thereafter that the candidates do not fulfill the eligibility criteria, their candidature shall be cancelled without assigning any reason whatsoever. Further, the decision of the Council in any matter relating to this, will be final. Interim enquiries will not be entertained and canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
