University of Calcutta Vacancy – Chemistry Research Fellow 

Advertisement for the Recruitment of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DST-SERBSponsored Project. Applications are invited for one JRF position in a DST-SERB sponsored research project (File No. EMR/2017/001627; Diary No. SERB/F/8403/2018-2019, Dt. 23/10/2018)

Project Title: “Design and Synthesis of Photoswitchable Chemotherapy Drugs
and Antibiotics” under Principal Investigator (PI) Dr. Subhas Samanta, Department of
Chemistry, University of Calcutta, 92, A. P. C. Road, Kolkata 700009.

Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry (with Organic Specialization)/ M.S (Pharm) Medicinal
Chemistry with 55% marks and NET / GATE / GPAT qualified. Candidate having
experience in organic synthesis, molecular docking and modeling, etc. will get
preference.

Age limit: 28 years (Relaxed up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC/Women/PH candidates).

Duration of project: 1 year

Emolument: Consolidated pay of Rs. 31,000/- per month including HRA.

The selected candidate will be considered as a JRF and will be paid as mentioned above for one year.
