Applications are invited on plain paper for filling up of one position(s) of Project Assistant-II and one post of Research Associate-I, on a purely temporary basis, in the prescribed proforma. The details of the Sponsored Project under which engagement is proposed to be made is as under :

Title of the Project: Fundamental Understanding of Mechanistic Aspects of Methane Conversion Catalyst by In-Situ Analysis/Measurements
Eligibility: PA-II: MSc in Chemistry with 55 % marks and above. Research Associate – I: PhD in Chemistry. A thesis submitted candidates also may apply but will be considered for Project Assistant-III till they get PhD degree.
Desirable: Conversant with materials preparation, batch-type reaction, surface science, and handling relevant analytical techniques. Research experience in alkane conversion to value-added chemicals would be a plus.
Age: 30 yrs for PA-II; 35 yrs for Res. Associate: I/PA-III
Job Requirement: Variety of synthesis and characterization of materials/nanomaterials, reaction optimization, surface science measurements for in-situ catalysis reactions by different methods. Mechanistic studies by relevant techniques and other project-related work
Salary: PA-II: Rs. 25,000/- (Consolidated)
PA-Ill: Rs. 28,000/- (Consolidated)
RA-I: Rs. 36,000/- (Consolidated)
Note: The engagement will be initially for
a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the tenure of sponsored project/ satisfactory performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case may be. The engagement will be purely on a temporary basis and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise and shall not entitle the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for his/her consideration against any CSIR/NCL post/fellowship.How To Apply:
