NISER Bhubaneswar Chemistry Scientist Jobs – Application Details

Indian nationals are invited for a Walk-In-Interview for temporary positions of Junior Project Scientist under the project “Centre for Interdisciplinary Sciences” at NISER.
The following posts are on short term contract basis up to 31st March 2020 (project duration) in the initial phase, likely to be extended further depending on the fund status.

Job Title: Junior Project Scientist

Essential Qualifications& Experience:

(1) B.Sc. in Chemistry with 60% marks.

Salary: Rs 35,000/-

Desirable: The candidate should have at least 1 year of hands-on experience with equipment such as Raman Spectroscopy/ Transmission Electron Microscopy/ FLIM with Confocal Microscopy/ Mass Spectroscopy/ Super-resolution Microscopy.

Age: Not more than 30 years as on the date of walk-in-interview.

Job Profile:

The selected candidates will help in the operation and maintenance of various equipment
available at Center for Interdisciplinary Sciences (CIS) at NISER. They will facilitate the users of the equipment by performing related experiments. The candidates need to maintain the log book of different equipment. They are also expected to help in the infrastructure development of the center housing these equipments.

General information about posts advertised:

1. Applicants who are employed in Government, Semi-Government Organizations or

else they will be required to produce a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” from
their employer at the time of walk-in-interview.

2. The positions are purely temporary on short term contract basis/work assignment
basis initially up to 31st March 2020(project duration) in the initial phase likely to be
extended further depending on the fund status.

3. The selection to the post will not entail them to claim for any permanent/temporary
position in NISER in any manner whatsoever.

4. The selected candidate will be required to submit an undertaking/bond on Rs.100/-
non judicial stamp paper to this effect.

5. The Institute reserves the right to consider to fill or not to fill the position and or any
other specialization(s). The Institute has the right to set different as well as higher
norms, while short-listing, taking into account the specific requirement.

6. The Institute reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any time
without assigning any reason thereof.

7. Relaxation in age, educational qualification and/or experience may be considered in
case of exceptionally meritorious and deserving candidates.

8. The selected candidates may be assigned any other duties as decided by the institute
from time to time.

9. Walk-in-Interview will be conducted at School of Physical Sciences, NISER
campus, Jatni, Khurda, Odisha.
