Job Title: Assistant Vice President – Quality

Function: Operations

Location: Mumbai, India

Minimum qualifications

A B.Sc. in Chemistry or associated life science degree (advanced degree desirable)

Preferred qualifications

• Relevant experience in QA, compliance and outsourcing initiatives preferably including industry-leading positions within large pharmaceutical companies.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control and associated procedures and practices within the Healthcare Industry
• Member of key industry groups to advance understanding and network on industry related Quality matters
• Proven strategic, project, and man management skills
• Proven application of extensive skills in the Quality Assurance environment
• Applies extensive knowledge and experience to impact project / function direction
• Possesses organizational awareness and effectively utilizes this knowledge
• Ability to represent the functional department at Board level meetings
• Decisive and proactive, with “small company” hands-on, can-do style and attitude
• Hard-working, energetic and passionate about making a difference
• Highest integrity committed to ethics and scientific standards
• Extensive, proven experience in various quality functions and departments in the Pharmaceutical Industry
• Knowledge in regulatory affairs in the generic, biotech, pharmaceutical industry with the respective managerial and leadership experience and a thorough understanding of the drug development and lifecycle process

Responsibilities

• The incumbent will build and manage a highly collaborative function that addresses all quality and compliance requirements in line with industry and client requirements.
• These will include but are not limited to Genpact Pharmalink Quality Assurance; Control of global Quality Management Systems (QMS); Meeting clients regulatory compliance requirements; Internal and external quality and regulatory inspections;
• ISO 9001 Accreditation for Genpact Pharmalink; Genpact Pharmalink’s Quality services for clients; Working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the creation and implementation of Quality systems/processes to ensure successful delivery for all client regulatory services. This will include the development of a Quality department to ensure all global Genpact Pharmalink teams adhere to and are trained in all necessary quality procedures and practices
• The incumbent will ensure all groups within the company are aware of the necessary quality standards that must be achieved to ensure successful operation
• The incumbent requires strong relationship management and interpersonal skills in order to partner effectively with key stakeholders and leaders internally and externally and serves as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on issues related to Quality and Compliance within the Operation
• The incumbent participates in industry forums to advance Genpact Pharmalink strategic goals. Conceives of and executes strategic creative methods for advancing policy goals, including the development of coalitions with other companies, engagement in professional societies, development of symposia, and scheduling of site visits and high level meetings with policy makers
• You’re responsible to provide the leadership and strategic direction on all Quality matters to the Regional Operations group and the Company as a whole. The role will include collaboration with the company key stakeholders to define the quality requirements both internally and externally. You will be a strong subject matter expert in global Quality Assurance requirements, laws, regulations and guidelines
