Eligibility:
- Advanced degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Specialization in Chromatography is desirable.
- Sound understanding of the application of analytical technology in oil and chemicals business.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying and time-critical priorities.
Candidate should be results driven, take initiative to deliver target, be highly customer orientated and have good stake-holder engagement skills.
Job Description
The Analytical Chemistry Bangalore develops and provides safe, innovative and cost-effective technology and Analytical Chemistry services to support Shell P&T, Downstream and Upstream businesses, both in India and globally.
- This specific accountabilities for this position are: – Work with Shell internal R&D customers to understand business needs for Chromatography support – enable hardware and application support
- Work with Shell and vendor staff to design, build, and install required hardware. – Develop and implement associated analytical methods required to meet project needs.
- Manage projects to meet customer budgets and time constraints. – Provide timely and effective support to existing installed base on on-line, at-line and lab systems.
- Coach staff to conceptualize, propose and deliver R&D projects.
- Accountable for the HSSE performance of the GCLC team and compliance with Analytical Chemistry’s business management system. Actively promote proper HSSE culture.
- Drive operational excellence through the application of new technology, coordination of R&D and Continuous Improvement principles.
- Actively participate in technical delivery for the team.
Dimensions:
- Day-to-day supervision of one or more laboratory technicians, including task planning and skill development of OSSP
- Recommendation for CapEx in area of specialization.
- Will report to the Regional Manager Analytical Chemistry, Bangalore and will be expected to work closely and collaboratively with global colleagues.
