EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
• PhD in Pharmacology from premier Institutes in India or International Universities from US, UK, Germany, Singapore etc.
• Masters in Pharmacology, preferably (IISER, NISER, NIPER, NIT, MS Ramaiah, Manipal)
• BE/BTech in Biotechnology with experience in Molecular Biology

WORK EXPERIENCE

:
• PhD: 2-4 Years in-silico/in-vitro/in-vivo Drug Discovery Experience
• Masters and BE/BTech: 7-10 Years in-silico/in-vitro/in-vivo Drug Discovery Experience

TECHNICAL /FUNCTIONAL SKILL:

• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools, techniques and drug, target and disease databases
• Biological and chemical data analysis including meta-analysis, pathway analysis and structural similarity analysis
• Excellent understanding of biology and target protein families
• Good interpretation and analytical skills
• Good knowledge on report writing
• Good written communication skills

Behavioural/MANAGERIAL SKILLS:

• Ability to carry out independent research in collaboration with his/her team
• Ability to lead and manage a team
• High on integrity and strong on compliance
• Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Capable of training internal team members with good technical knowledge
• Good collaboration skills to work smoothly on cross-functional projects

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Should be flexible to manage the stretched timelines/ discussions/calls/meetings etc.

JOB PURPOSE (Briefly describe the objectives of the job):

To carry out drug and target based repurposing projects by performing Bioinformatics and Network Analysis both for Small and Large molecules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze scientific information (literature, omics and biological data) to generate novel mechanism-of-action hypothesis for drug-disease and target-disease associations
• Writing research papers, project reports, reviews and summaries
• To work on the internally developed platforms for chemical and biological analysis (necessary training and inputs will be provided)
• Should be responsible for quality of work based on internal SOPs with respect to data generation, analysis and validation of project
• To provide data inputs to the Reporting Manager periodically to support Project Management
• Manage, train and guide one or two team members and provide support on technical and managerial front
• Responsible for project deliverables in line with client requirement and contribute to revenue generation as per the business plan.
• Responsible for data integrity and archival for client related projects
• Comply with all Syngene’s Policies, including Data Integrity, Departmental SOPs, Employees Health and Safety Sustainability, Quality Assurance and Project Management
