MChem Medicinal Chemistry Programme 2019-20 – University of Bradford
MChem Medicinal Chemistry Programme. The University of Bradford invites postgraduate and undergraduate chemistry candidates for medicinal chemistry program. Interested and Eligible candidates may apply online. Check out all the details on the same below:
Program: MChem Medicinal Chemistry Programme
Duration: 4 years
UCAS code: F15
About the Programme:
During the first two years, students will develop a sound understanding of theoretical and practical aspects of chemistry, with core content delivered across the traditional areas of organic, inorganic and physical chemistry. However, they believe that an intellectually fulfilling university experience should allow students to sample subjects from outside the Chemistry subject area. Hence all their chemistry programs allow students to take 20 credits of elective modules in stages 1 and 2, with subjects offered from across the university’s teaching portfolio.
The third-year will introduce students to specialist content in medicinal, materials and analytical chemistry. Students will also have the opportunity to study a specific subject by choosing to a greater depth during an extended dissertation. It is possible to exit after stage 3 with a BSc (Honours) in Chemistry.
In the Masters year, students will then specialize in medicinal chemistry. The advanced study in the chosen area will allow students to develop a deeper understanding of the application of chemistry to solving real-world problems. Masters-level training focuses on deploying training in real-world settings. Academic research experience involves working on students own project as part of a research team alongside post-graduate and post-doctoral researchers at the University.

The University of Bradford offers a wide range of financial help to assist you on your university journey, and invests over £4m annually in the Access Agreement and other scholarships to support students from all backgrounds.
Every year we award numerous non-repayable scholarships to UK, EU and international students on the basis of academic excellence, personal circumstances or economic hardship. Some of our scholarships are also linked to studies in a specific subject area.
You can apply for more than one type of scholarship but you can usually only be granted one award. If you are a postgraduate student and awarded a scholarship, this does not affect your right to apply for a postgraduate loan. NHS-funded students are not eligible for University of Bradford scholarships.
