Applications are invited from motivated and bright candidates for the position of a Junior
Research Fellow (JRF) in the research project funded under DST-Nano Mission the scheme, Government of India, at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali. Check out all the details on the same below:

Title of the Research Project: Atomic-scale investigation of the nanopiezotronic
properties in semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenide monolayers via first-principles electronic structure methods

Principal Investigator: Dr. Abir De Sarkar, Scientist-E/Assoc. Prof.

Name of the position available: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Number of positions available: One

Qualifications:

Essential: M.Sc./M.Tech. degree in Physics/ Chemistry/ Material Science/ Nanoscience
and Nanotechnology/Applied Sciences/ Engineering with NET/GATE/JEST/DSTInspire/National level qualifying examination

Desirable:

Experience in density functional theory (DFT) calculations/ Modelling and
Simulation/Programming will be preferred, but is not mandatory.

Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 31st July, 2019 which is relaxable for certain
reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India

Salary: Rs. 25,000/- + 10% HRA (Pre-revised)

Duration: Initially for one year and may be extended till the end of the project based
upon the performance of the candidate and the availability of

funds.
