Job Title: Senior Research Associate -Peptide Chemistry
Job description :
We are looking for a highly self-motivated and versatile peptide chemist. The candidate should be well versed with synthetic peptide chemistry, with expertise in the synthesis of a long chain, branched, labelled, disulphide bridge peptides in solid and solution phase. The candidate should be able to do the synthesis of 5 – 40mer peptides which include but not limited to:
- Handling of an automated peptide synthesizer
- 15N and 13C labelling
- Solid and solution phase synthesis
- Multiple disulphides linked peptides
- Cyclotides synthesis
- Biotinylation
- Cyclization
- Fluorescent labelling
- RCM reactions
- Concurrent synthesis of multiple targets for different projects from our partner
- The candidate should have thorough scientific/technical expertise to independently carry out HPLC purification and characterization of peptides using HPLC & LCMS.
- Performing purification and analysis side-by-side to ensure a regular flow of final peptide products
Desired Skills and Experience :
Candidates should demonstrate the following profile:
- MSc Chemistry or equivalent with minimum 2-5 years of experience in solid phase peptide synthesis & purification.
- Experience in handling automated peptide synthesizer and skills in peptide
- purification/characterization techniques would be preferred.
