Job Title: Assistant Manager
Reports to: Department Head – Central Procurement Cell ( Salt
Eligibility: BSc / MSc ( Chemistry Preferred)
Experience: 6 to 8 years
Job Purpose
Job holder to co- ordinate with units and salt suppliers for timely supply of salt to units as per agreed rate, quality, delivery schedule and other terms and conditions of salt orders for 6 Units (Nagda, Rehla, Renukoot, Ganjam, Karwar & Bhalabhadrapuram) and for remaining 2 units (Vilayat and Veraval) on need basis.
Co-ordinate for delivery of salt to all the units by different mode of transportation (By Road, By Rail and By Sea).
Job Challenges / Activities
- To co-ordinate with units and salt suppliers for timely dispatch of salt to all units.
- To co-ordinate with units for giving dispatch details and payment of railway freight, ocean freight and transportation payments.
- Submission of all documents to units related to dispatch of salt.
- Timely payment of salt to salt suppliers. Collection and delivery of salt quality report along with credit / debit note to salt suppliers.
- Receipt of salt at plants and sending receipt reports to salt suppliers.
- To keep records of all documents for dispatch and receipt of salt for Units and salt suppliers.
- Co-ordination for registering indents and supply of rakes for dispatch of salt by Rail.
- Co-ordination with transporters / Contractors for dispatch of salt by Road through trucks and containers rake.
- Co-ordination with salt suppliers for selection of salt heaps before dispatch of salt as per our specification.
- Co-ordinate with our salt suppliers working in field for dispatch / supervision of salt by Road / Rail / Sea.
- Preparation of monthly /quarterly dispatch plan in co-ordination with Units and salt suppliers and follow up for timely dispatch.
- Co-ordinate with units for release of security deposit after completion of order quantity by salt suppliers.
