Project Title: Shape-directed dynamics of active colloids

Project Description: The project will involve fabrication and study of shape-directed
dynamics of self-propelled colloids. The aim is to study the collective behavior
(active matter) of model swimmers in fluids.

Funding Agency: Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.

Principal Investigator: Dr. Ravi Kumar Pujala

Eligibility: M.Sc. in Physical or Chemical Sciences or Equivalent degree with minimum of 60% marks or an Equivalent degree.

Desirable:

• Valid CSIR / UGC NET-JRF or GATE scorecard.
• 4Strong motivation to explore rich physics in Soft and Active Matter. Experience in synthesis, characterization of colloids and data analysis.

Fellowship

•  Candidates who have qualified any of the national level test like CSIR /
  UGC – NET / GATE etc. with valid score in score card are eligible for
  remuneration of Rs. 25000/- + 10% HRA per month (Consolidated).
• Others will be eligible for Rs. 16,000/- + 10% HRA per month based on
  their academic qualification.

Tenure The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory
performance for a maximum of three years. The position is co-terminus with the
project
