Job Title: Junior Scientific Officer
Work Location: The Headquarters of the post is at Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), but the officer selected will have the liability to serve anywhere in India.

Classification of post: Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post
Eligibility: Master’s Degree in Physical Chemistry or Master’s Degree in Chemistry with Physical Chemistry as one of the papers from a recognized University or Institute.
Experience: three years’ experience of research work in Physical Chemistry or three years
working experience in a sugar factory or distillery or other related in
three years of teaching experience at degree level in Physical Chemistry.
Note: The experience shall be considered after having attained the essential educational
qualifications.
Desirable:- Master’s Degree in Physical Chemistry or Master’s Degree in Chemistry with Physical Chemistry as one of the subjects with Doctorate in Chemistry from a recognized University or Institute.
Note:- The Departmental Research Assistant (Physical Chemistry) in the Level-6 (Rs. 35,400- 1,12,400) with eight years’ regular service in the grade shall also be considered along with outsiders for appointment on deputation and in case such person is selected for
appointment to the post, the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion.
Pay Scale: Level-10 of the Pay Matrix: (PB-3: Rs. 15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5,400/-, as per 6th CPC)
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short
term contract) shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date for receipt of
applications.
