Position 1
(A) JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS (WITH OWN FELLOWSHIP)
Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (Catalysis Chemistry)
Qualifications – (i) M.Sc. in Chemistry (General / Organic / Inorganic / Physical / Others) from a recognized University / Institute and
(ii) having their own fellowship granted by CSIR/UGC/DBT/DST/ICAR/ICMR or other funding agencies.
Age limit – 28 Years
Fellowship – As per fellowship awarding agency
(B) FELLOWSHIPS UNDER EXTERNALLY FUNDED PROJECTS AT CIAB, MOHALI
Job Title: Project Fellow
No.of posts: 01
Project Title – “Selective Transformation of Biomass-Derived Glycolaldehyde to C4-Sugars using Chemocatalysis”.
Qualifications – (i) M.Sc. in Chemistry (General / Organic / Inorganic / Physical / Others) from a recognized University / Institute with NET / GATE / any other equivalent nature of test qualified
.Funded By – Halder Topsoe, Denmark
Principal Investigator – Dr. S. Saravanamurugan, Scientist-E (Catalysis Chemistry)
Age limit – 28 Years
Duration of the project – One year
Fellowship – Rs. 25,000/- + (HRA as admissible or Hostel Facility, if available) per month
Tenure of Fellowship: Initially three months, renewable on quarterly basis on satisfactory performance.
Process of Engagement
- The eligible applicants would be interviewed by a duly constituted committee. The committee would recommend the candidates, if found suitable, for consideration of the competent authority for engagement on purely on Fellowship/Stipendiary basis. Provisions of registration for Ph.D exist at Universities having MoU with CIAB subject to scholar’s tangible performance, promise, academic suitability, etc.

The interested candidates may appear for a Walk-In-Interview on 01-03-2019 along with the application form (as per format for JRF/Project Fellow) available on the website www.ciab.res.in. The duly filled application form must be submitted at the time of the registration from 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM on 01-03-2019.
