Job Title: Technical Assistant (Scientific Illustrations & Animation)

Eligibility: Master’s Degree in Science with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade
Desirable:
- Experience in Scientific illustration, creation of 2D and 3D graphics and animations for explaining complicated scientific topics and research communication
- Proficiency in handling 2D/3D animation software packages and Video Editing programs
Consolidated emoluments: Maximum of Rs. 35,000/- per month depending on the
experience and expertise
- Understanding scientific concepts and generate graphical 2D and 3D Sketches / Models and animating them using open source and commercial software (Photoshop,
CorelDraw, Flash and Maya / 3Ds Max / Blender) for educational content creation. - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Post-production Audio-video editing and Color Correction.
- Handling video projects from concept to competition in a timely manner.
- Taking up institutional administration duties from time to time.
Duration: Initially for a period of six months, extendable for a further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project

Job Title: Technical Officer (Scientific Content Development)

Eligibility: Ph.D. in Chemistry or Allied science disciplines with minimum one year of post-doctoral research experience.
Desirable:
- Evidence for research competence through published articles in high impact journals.
- Experience in Science communication and research communication
- Teaching experience at the undergraduate level
Pay Scale: Maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month depending on the experience and expertise
Job Requirement:
- Communicate science advances in audiovisual format.
- Assist and oversee projects of the Science Media Centre
- Mentor and train students in science communication
- Create video content for online courses
- Assist in workshops that are conducted by the Centre and Institute
