Job Title: Technical Sales specialist water analysis instruments

Experience:

  • Core understanding of applications, business development & management skills and responsibilities
  • Prior experience of selling & developing the application for Titrators / Spectro photometers / On-line Analysers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Prior experience in developing applications for Titrators / Spectro photometers / On-line Water Quality Analyzers mainly in Drinking Water & Waste Water, Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Oil & Gas segment.
  • Nature of experience: Either 3-4 years in the application and or 3-4 years of product manager in Drinking Water & Waste Water, Food & Beverage, Academia, Pharma & On-line Water Quality Analyzers. Ability to travel approximately 50-60% of the time.

Knowledge Required: In-depth understanding of the product, applications in Drinking Water & Waste Water, Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Chemicals, Oil & Gas segment & Applied segments in India. Experience in working closely with

Channels and dealers.

Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, Expert in Microsoft (PowerPoint & Excel), Demonstrated proactive approach working in a matrix organization, Strong people influencing skills, Understanding of sales, channel & OEM processes, Knowledge of product pitching strategy.

Job Description:

Business Planning:

  • Develops and maintains sales working plan for territory that includes chance map, target market
  • segments and accounts, prediction, develop sales strategies, tactics for new programs.
  • Supports and work closely with other colleagues in client demos, technical program discussions to close earnings deals
  • Understands the customer/market sections and generates sales opportunities through regular demonstrations and customer seminars
  • Works closely with marketing to build strong marketing plan helping drive demand creation
  • Understands the generic strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develops sales strategies to respond effectively.

Managing Sales Pipeline:

  • Effective utilization of CRM tools and processes to manage sales leads and opportunities.
  • Ensures that direction is provided with realistic sales forecasts and is kept aware of any significant changes or developments.
  • Ensures that sales pipeline is filled with opportunities at different phases of a sales cycle.
  • Regularly provide a forecast, pipeline and sales strategies with individual sales reps. Ensures that leads and opportunities are pursued in a timely way.
  • Assesses sales opportunities early in the sales cycle to ensure the sales force is pursuing appropriate opportunities and functioning effectively.
  • Provides monthly sales forecasts and project pipelines to manager helping build the right amount of inventories.
  • Managing Relationships with Channel Partners and inner cross-division partners

Managing Relationships with Channel Partners and inner cross-division partners

  • Develops a profile of revenue channels necessary to maximize performance in the region.
  • Recruits and develops the business relationship with channels and distributors.
  • Stays current with partner’s strategies, direction, and operations.
  • Supports marketing efforts of channel partners in existing and prospective customers.
  • Mobilizes the ideal partners to pursue certain opportunities.

Managing the Sales Process

  • Supports direct and indirect sales reps in creating strategies for dealing with obstacles, customer objections or competitive conditions.
  • Makes regular sales calls to establish a level presence in Drinking Water, Waste Water, F&B, Pulp & Paper, Chemicals, Oil & Gas sections and build an understanding of client and pitch-in right product.
  • Identifies deals or opportunities that need additional support and resources.
  • Identifies the price of pursuing sales opportunities and manages appropriately
  • Identifies and drive growth in Drinking Water, Waste Water, F&B, Pulp & Paper, Chemicals, Oil & Gas segments.
  • Works closely with service function to ensure the right amount of service capabilities to support clients.
