Project Title: Stereoselective synthesis of fused oxa/aza-heterocycles via domino ring-opening cyclization of donor-acceptor cyclopropanes

Eligibility :
JRF: M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 55% marks & LS-NET/ GATE qualification. A prior experience in chemical synthesis is highly desirable although is not mandatory. Maximum age limit is 28 years.
RA: Possessing doctorate (Pd.D.) degree in chemistry or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 2 published papers in a standard refereed journal. Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Project Duration: ~2 yrs 3 months (extendable up to another year based on the progress of the project and funding agencies recommendation)
Fellowship: JRF @ 12000/- per month + HRA (as per university norms)
Or RA @ 36000/- per month + HRA (as per university norms) (As per CSIR project guideline)
The progress of the project work will be evaluated after two years by the appropriate committee following CSIR project guideline. Based on their recommendation, JRF may be upgraded to SRF with stipend of Rs. 14,000/- p.m. for the remaining tenure of the project.
Note: Preference will be given to the candidate with organic chemistry background.
Age limit: Upper age limit relaxation of 5 years will be given SC/ST/OBC/Woman candidate.

An interview will be held on 10-01-2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Department of Chemistry, Presidency University, Kolkata. Candidates with be shortlisted in case number of application is more than 10 and intimated one day in advance.
Applicants should report 30 mins prior to the scheduled time of interview (10.01.2019) & submit the following documents in two sets. (Documents must be self-attested).
