Brackishwater aquaculture has been identified as one of the high potential areas for increasing finfish and shell fish production and for deriving maximum economic and social benefits. Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India established the Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture (CIBA) on 1-4-1987. The Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture serves as the nodal agency for the development of brackishwater aquaculture in the country. The Headquarters of the Institute is located at Chennai with an Experimental Field Station at Muttukadu, about 30 km south of Chennai. The Institute has one Research Centre at Kakdwip in West Bengal.

Job Description: The selected candidates will be responsible for providing assistance to project activities at ICAR-CIBA, Chennai
Qualifications: M.F.Sc, M.Sc (Ag) in Soil Science, Master’s degree in the Basic sciences with specialization in Chemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, Biochemistry, Aquaculture, Microbiology, Marine biology, Environmental Sciences, Climate change
Working knowledge in their subject as evident through dissertation/Project work/ Research Publications. Necessary Computer knowledge for data entry and analyzing scientific research data
