Job Title:    Safety Officer

Job Description:

  • Monitoring Day to day EHS activity.
  • Safety training to contract workers, Employees.
  • Issuance of daily of work permit system and its compliance
  • Inventory and issuance of Personal protective equipments.
  • Preparation of Standard operating procedures and formats, Maintaining the daily SOP formats.
  • Servicing, refilling, hydro testing of fire extinguishers, fire hydrant, fire alarm system.
  • Servicing and maintenance of Safety equipments. like, PPEs, PPE Box, Fire extinguishers, fire alarm system, SCBA, Safety shower, spill kit, Respirators etc.
  • Disposal of hazardous waste as per procedure and Environmental monitoring as per requirement
  • Near miss reporting , accident, incident reporting and investigation.
  • Preparation of onsite emergency plan and conducting mock drill.
  • Filling of water cess return, water cess payment, Form 4, Form 5 and terms and conditions as per consent to operate.
  • Operation of ETP, analysis of effluent.
  • Safety inspection round and its compliance, internal audit.
  • Safety signages and information boards at appropriate location.
  • E & Y legal compliance of EHS and other department
  • Conducting risk assessment, HAZOP of process
  • Conducting the safety committee meeting and its compliance
  • Monitoring of lifting tackles, tools, hoist, chain, external examination of pressure vessel.
  • Maintain the First aid Boxes as requirement

Qualifications: 

  • Safety Officer with B.Sc. Chemistry and Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety with 2-4 years experience in API Pharmaceutical or Chemical or paint industry
    Advanced diploma in industrial safety (ADIS)
  • M.Sc. Environmental Science
    Advanced diploma in industrial safety (ADIS)
  • Experience: 1- 3 years in pharmaceutical bulk drug or chemical/paint industry
  • Candidate should be graduate in Science/ Advanced Diploma in Industrial safety (ADIS)
  • Ready to relocate to Pimpri, Pune
  • Education:UG -B.Sc – Chemistry, Diploma – Chemical, Other Specialization
