Job Description:

  • Generate & evaluate innovative ideas for product and process development of colored cellulosic fibers.
  • Technical scoping, planning and execution of R&D projects.
  • Develop & execute experimental plans.
  • Supervise & troubleshoot scale-up trials.
  • Execute/coordinate activities for developing laboratory & pilot plant infrastructure.
  • Contribute to laboratory SHE programs.
  • Write technical reports, publications, SOPs and patents.

Qualifications

  1. Experienced in industrial production processes related to dye stuff, organic pigments and fiber engineering.
  2. Good understanding of regulatory compliance regarding pigments, dye stuff and aromatic compounds.
  3. Creative personality, thinking outside of the box and strong hands on problem solving skills.
  4. Excellent team player with good communication skills.
  5. High motivation, self-starter.
  6. PhD with min. 5+ years of industry experience (Pigment & Dyestuff industry & color technology, surface coating) in Synthetic Organic Chemistry / Colorants in dye stuff or organic pigment synthesis.
  7. Detail understanding of Synthesis of organic pigments (azo chemistry and heterocycles), dye stuff and intermediates, analysis and documentation of laboratory experiments
  8. Knowledge of pigments, color measurements, color analysis, fiber/fabric dyeing
  9. Support upscale and transfer to production of newly developed products
  10. Collaboration with Process Development, Production and Technical Marketing
  11. Knowledge of color matching, color science, color gamut
  12. Expertise in pigment dispersions, effects, shades
