Position I

Job Title:  Senior Scientific Assistants (Chemistry)

No. of Posts: 2

Age Limit:  Max Age- 35 Years (Age relaxation as per A & N Administration Rules/Circulars/Guidelines issued in this regard from
time to time)

Salary:   30,000/-PM (Revision of salary as per 7th CPC is under process)

Job Description:  for Laboratory Examination & 01 for Crime Scene Visit Category -Unreserved

Qualifications:  Master degree in Chemistry or Toxicology or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subject at bachelor level from a recognized

university or equivalent. Exp:- (01) one year research and/or Analytical work experience in relevant discipline (OR) (01) One year experience of working in Forensic Science Laboratory/DMFU in relevant discipline or one year combined experience of Ist and
IInd.

Position II

Job Title:  Scientific Assistant Category -Unreserved

No. of Posts: 1

Age Limit:  Max Age- 33 Years (Age relaxation as per A & N Administration Rules/Circulars/Guidelines issued in this regard from time to time)

Salary:  25, 000/- PM (Revision of salary as per 7th CPC is under process)

Job Description:  for Laboratory Examination & 01 for Crime Scene Visit Category -Unreserved

Qualifications:  Master Degree in Chemistry/ Toxicology/Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subject at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University or equivalent.

General Terms and Conditions:  

a) The period of appointment will be for 11 months, purely on contractual basis and
further extendable based on need of the department.
b) The emolument for the post will be consolidated. The consolidated remuneration for
SSA is Rs. 30,000/- and SA is Rs. 25,000/- per month respectively.
c) He/She shall be provided with transport facility for official purpose.
d) He/ She needs to serve at Port Blair and in case of requirement; he/ She has to attend
essential duties in any part of the A & N Islands.
e) The contract appointment shall not have any right & claim for regular appointment in
any manner whatsoever.
f) If his/her conduct/performance is found unsatisfactory his/her contract can be
terminated after giving one month notice.
