Applications are invited on or before 11 September, 2017 for the following undermentioned posts at ICMRNIOH Ahmedabad and its Regional Centres at Bengaluru and Kolkata :-
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals on or before 11 September, 2017 for the following posts:- Scientist-D (One post) in the Level-12 of the Pay Matrix (PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 7600), Scientist- C (Two posts) in the Level-11 of the Pay Matrix (PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 6600) & Scientist-B (Nine posts) in the Level-10 of the Pay Matrix (PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400) and usual allowances as admissible as per Government norms at National Institute of Occupational Health, Ahmedabad & its both centre’s at Bengaluru and Kolkata.
Position I
Job Title : Scientist-C (Chemistry) (Analytical/Organic)
No.of.Posts : -One post (Unreserved)
Qualification :
- First Class Master’s degree in Chemistry (Analytical/Organic) from a recognized university with four years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after 1st Class Master’s Degree.
- OR
- Second class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University with four years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc + Ph.D.
Job Requirement : To carry out Industrial hygiene studies, including environmental and biological monitoring/metal toxicity/organic pollutants etc. and any other work assigned by the Director
Position II
Job Title : Scientist-B (Chemistry) (Analytical/Organic)
No.of.Posts : -One post (Unreserved)
Qualification :
- 1 st Class Master’s degree in Chemistry from a recognized university.
- OR
- 2 nd class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in Chemistry from a recognized university.
Job Requirement : To undertake independent research and participate in multi-disciplinary team work in the field of Occupational and Environmental Health. To assist in institutional infrastructure, project development and resource generation.

- Self attested copies of the following documents are to be enclosed with the application:
i) Proof of Date of Birth
ii) Educational qualifications
iii) Experience
iv) Community Certificate
v) List of publications with impact factor & citation. List of extramural projects
completed whether R&D sponsored/contractual and whether as PI/Co-PI or CoInvestigator.
vi) Bank Draft (Scheduled Bank)/IPO for Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only)
payable to the Director, NIOH, Ahmedabad. (SC/ST, PWD and Women
candidates are exempted from the application fee. Bank draft/IPO are payable by
all other candidates including ICMR employees.
vii) Unsigned/incomplete application or application without supportive evidence asked for/without Bank Draft/IPO application received late are liable to summarily rejected.
