It is proposed to fill-up following position as per details below purely on temporary basis under the time bound NRSC Project “Land Degradation Mapping (Cycle-II)” running in this Institute.
Job Title : Junior Research Fellow

Duration : Up to June, 2018 (purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, subjected to satisfactory performance)
Age Limit : 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of walk-ininterview (Relaxation for SC/ST/ OBC candidates as per rule)
Emoluments : Rs. 25000/- pm + HRA as per rules
Essential :
i. Post Graduate (M.A./M.Sc.) in Geography/ Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing /Geology with NET/ GATE or M.Tech. in Remote Sensing or M.Sc. (Agriculture) Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry with essential experience in satellite data interpretation/mapping with NET/ GATE.
ii. Essential knowledge and expertise in digital mapping using open source GIS and remote sensing software.
iii. Thorough working knowledge in ArcGIS and ERDAS software modules.
Desirable : Experience in field survey and knowledge of land use/ land degradation / desertification mapping

The candidates fulfilling the qualification for the above position are invited to appear for a walk-in-interview to
be held at the office of Dr. Mahesh Kumar Gaur, Senior Scientist & Principal Investigator, CAZRI-NRSC Project, Division of Natural Resources & Environment, ICAR-Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Light Industrial Area, Jodhpur – 342 003 (Raj.).The candidate should bring the filled in application form (as per the format annexed) duly signed and pasted with a recent colour passport size photograph along with the following documents given below.
(i) All original certificates of educational qualifications from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET / equivalent certificate and one set of the attested copies of all the required certificates (ii) Two testimonials of Character from two responsible gazetted officers (iii) relevant publication (iv) a brief of research work during post graduations (v) No objection certificate from the employer in case of employment elsewhere (vi) Experience certificate in original, if any. Proof of experience and publications also need to be submitted.Only NET/GATE qualified candidates, wherever applicable, will be eligible to appear for interview.
Only the candidates meeting essential qualifications would be interviewed.

The candidate intending to attend the interview, if any near or distant relative of the candidate is an employee of the ICAR – CAZRI, the candidate has to declare his/ her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing so as to reach Dr. Mahesh Kumar Gaur, Senior Scientist & Principal Investigator, CAZRI-NRSC Project, Division of Natural Resources & Environment, ICAR-Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Light Industrial Area, Jodhpur – 342 003 (Raj.) by 31st July, 2017. If such declaration is furnished on the date of interview and found that his/ her relative is an employee of ICAR-CAZRI, such candidate will not be allowed for interview.
The candidates have to strictly follow the form annexed (typed / filled) duly signed and submit on the date of interview. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination of candidature even after selection.
The service of the selected candidate will stand terminated automatically after the expiry of the project or completion of period mentioned in the offer of appointment and on the decision of the competent authority, whichever is earlier. He/ she will not have any right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in regular vacancies of the Institute/ ICAR.
