Walk in Interview for JRF/Project Fellow in CSIR networked project @ IHBT


The CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology,Palampur (CSIR-IHBT) is one of the National Institute under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research which is an Autonomous Body. It is located on a 250 acres of land with the backdrop of snow-covered peaks of Dhauladhar Range in salubrious climate. The Institute is engaged in research and technology development programmes for sustainable management of bioresources of the Himalayas. The Institute has successfully carried out mission-oriented projects on tea, temperate floriculture and aromatic plants and is well equipped for Tissue culture and Biotechnology. Facilities include Tea Processing Unit, FRP greenhouses and equipments like GC-MS, FT-IR,Ultrascan, Automated DNA sequencers, Phosphoimager, Q-TOF, XL Laser densitometer,HPLCs, MALDI-TOF,CONFOCAL MICROSCOPY, CO2 Extractor, FPLC, HP-TLC, IRGA, NMR, Scintillation counter, computer networking etc.

Walk in Interview is scheduled to be held for selection of suitable candidate in the following areas under the External Funded sponsored and CSIR networked project

Project title 1 : Detail investifation and understanding of newly described solid supported hybrid junction of transition metals nanoparticles for their physico-chemical and chemical behaviors in organic synthesis

  • Posts : Junior Research Fellow
  • No of Post : 1
  • Desired Profile : M.Sc in Organic Chemistry/Inorganic Chemistry with 55% marks and CSIR-UGC-NET/LS qualified
  • Fellowship : Rs 25000/- pm + 10% HRA

Project title 2 : Methodology development for bioactive organic molecules (ORIGIN)

  • Posts : Project Fellow
  • No of Post : 1
  • Desired Profile : M.Sc in Organic Chemistry/Inorganic Chemistry with 55% marks
  • Fellowship : Rs 14000/- pm + 10% HRA

Eligible candidates may appear for Walk in Interview alongwith an application on prescribed format which is available on the CSIR-IHBT website “www.ihbt.res.in” alongwith, attested photocopies of testimonials of their age, educational qualifications, experience, reserved category etc at the time of interview. The position are purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project.
