University of Kalyani calls for JRF post in DST-Nanomission project

The University of Kalyani was established in 1960 with a campus area of over 400 acres in Kalyani town.The University is providing academic guidance and leadership to 36 (thirty six) affiliated degree colleges located in the districts of Nadia, Murshidabad and parts of N. 24 Parganas.In addition engineering colleges were affiliated to this University for the last three years. Recently these colleges have been transferred to the newly set up West Bengal University of Technology.

Application are invited for one JRF for the DST-Nanomission research research project entitled “In vitro and in vivo approaches to explore the mechanism of anti bacterial and anti-cancer activities of different copper-based nano particles, for developing potential drugs of dual action” under supervision of Prof Tarakdas Basu, Dept of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of Kalyani

Posts : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

No of Post : 1 No.

Desired Profile : M.Tech/M.Sc in Chemistry and any branch of Life Science. Qualifying NET (JRF)/NET (LS)/GATE is essential.

Duration : Three years

Fellowship : Rs 25000/- pm + 10% HRA
