JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for developing, identifying, and modifying new and existing formulations of Hair Care products & technologies to deliver required performance. Deliver Innovation (10-20%) OTIF, taking into account SC network, strategy, complexity & savings.
The role interfaces between Marketing, Research & Development (R&D) and various Unilever Supply Chain functions, such as Category Procurement Operations, Product Group Quality, Innovation Managers at sourcing sites, Global SC, 3rd Party Manufacturing.
The perfect candidate has strong communication skills to align with different partners within and outside SC, good leadership skills that allow running projects in a dynamic environment with many changes (e.g. fast track projects, new business models, SC restructuring etc).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Innovation Projects:
- Product development – E2E batch making. Stability Studies.
- Development and/or modification of new/existing formulations of Hair care products for improved performance and cost reduction
- Preparation of samples for testing, such as stability studies, efficacy, safety, consumer studies.
- Digital compliance on the job
- Manage innovation projects (10-20%) so they are delivered on time in full.
- Manage Innovation projects (10-20%) to ensure all SC aspects are delivered during different project stages (sourcing / procurement / capabilities / capacity / investment.
- Ensure effective communication with peers & stakeholders in Marketing, Research & Development (R&D), Planning, Procurement, Quality Assurance (QA), Factories, 3rd Party Manufacturing (3PM) organisation.
- Support Risk Assessments (Technical Risk Assessment (TRA) & Supply Chain Risk Assessment) for critical projects at each project stage

- Marketing (Country Category Business Teams (CCBT))
- R&D
- Different functions within Supply Chain: Planning, Sourcing Units, QA, Logistics, Procurement, SC Finance, 3PMO, P&I
EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- Strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills (English)
- Good understanding about the anatomy & physiology of hair; raw materials used in personal care products, their chemistry, interactions & compatibilities, science of formulation development
- 2-3 yrs experience in R&D product development and understanding of the product development principles. Prior experience in formulation development of personal care products preferably hair care would be an added advantage

EDUCATION: Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Cosmetic Technology/Chemistry/Chemical Technology/Chemical Engineering/ Oil technology/Pharmacology
