Applications are invited for the temporary position (contractual) of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India sponsored project entitled “Phytopharmaceutical Development of Ficus microdata Buch.-Ham. ex Sm. as per
regulatory guidelines of DCGI” under the Principal Investigator of Dr. Jagat C Borah, Life
Sciences Division, Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology, Guwahati, Assam.
Job Title: Junior Research Fellow
No.of posts: 01 (One)
Eligibility: M.Sc. in Chemistry with minimum 55% marks.
Upper age limits maximum 28 years at the time of application. Relaxation as per GoI rules.
Salary: i) ₹ 31000 + admissible HRA per month, for scholars who have qualified CSIR-UGC
NET/GATE or equivalent.
ii) Those who do not fall under (i), emolument will be as per the DST, Govt. of India guidelines.
Desirable:
Candidates with organic chemistry specialization and M.Sc. dissertation work in the area of Natural Product Chemistry.
Duration: Appointment will be till completion of the project depending on the research progress and performance of the incumbent and status of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.

(2) Those in employment or doing Ph.D. should submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the
concerned employer/ Ph.D. supervisor.
(3) Appointment and payment will be strict as per DST/DBT rules and guidelines.
