Job Description
The intern will run depolymerisation, polymerisation, compounding and formulation trials under supervision, prepare and characterise samples using FTIR, GPC, DSC, TGA, MFI, rheometry, tensile and impact testing and optical microscopy, maintain lab notebooks to patent and audit standards, work with polymer scientists and process engineers on scale-up, and write trial summaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Run depolymerisation, polymerisation, compounding and formulation trials under supervision.
- Prepare and characterise samples using FTIR, GPC, DSC, TGA, MFI, rheometry, tensile and impact testing and optical microscopy.
- Maintain lab notebooks to patent and audit standards.
- Work with polymer scientists and process engineers on scale-up.
- Write trial summaries.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Polymer Science, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Chemistry.
Required Skills: Working knowledge of polymer chemistry and exposure to spectroscopic, chromatographic and thermal characterisation.
Salary: The internship runs for 6 months with a monthly stipend of Rs 20,000.
