Panjab University Project Associate Details

The project will be executed at Panjab University, Chandigarh. Applications are invited for two Project Associate-I positions for research purposes under a CSR grant for using AI in Material Science/Characterization.

Panjab University Project Associate Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry/Physics/Material Science/Bio-Technology/Bioinformatics or related disciplines, OR M. Tech/M.E in Chemical/Biochemical/Biotechnology Engg./Materials/Nanotechnology or equivalent degrees.
  • Candidates having experience in Physical & Chemical analysis, AI (coding) and instrumentation.

Salary

  • 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and institutions.
  • 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Tenure

The Panjab University project associate offer will be for one year and renewable for up to two more years subject to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project (may be terminated anytime due to non-performance and withdrawal of the grant).

Documents Required

The duly filled application form should be sent ONLY as a hard copy. A second hard copy print out of this application form, signed and dated by the applicant, along with recent passport size photograph and photocopies of relevant certificates and other testimonials in support of age, qualification, experience etc. will be collected at the time of joining.   • The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on termination of the research project/non-performance of the selected candidate.
  • The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment / absorption in Funding Agency.
  • Appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency particularly applicable to the said project.
  • The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions.
  • The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
  • No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
  • Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
