Job Summary
The Flavour Analyst role is designed for individuals who are eager to challenge themselves while impacting products that people use daily. Responsibilities
- Determine the qualitative and quantitative composition of flavour compounds through interpretation of GC/MS data.
- Next, prepare samples, operate relevant analytical workflows, and evaluate data in accordance with established methods and laboratory protocols.
- Additionally, develop, adapt, and document analytical methods appropriate to the complexity of assigned work.
- Translate technical requests into well-structured experiments and practical analytical approaches.
- Assess data quality, identify anomalies, and recommend logical follow-up work.
- Also, maintain accurate, current, and traceable laboratory records, reports, and supporting data.
- Connect instrumental observations with sensory performance and product context where appropriate.
- Plan and manage assigned activities, priorities, and timelines in alignment with project needs.
- Finally, present results, interpretations, limitations, and recommended next steps to internal customers and technical stakeholders.
- Build effective working relationships by responding reliably to customer needs and using feedback to improve technical service.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Food Science, Flavour Science, or a related scientific discipline with 3-4 years of experience.
- Master’s degree with 1-2 years of experience in the relevant discipline.
- Foundational knowledge of chromatographic and mass spectrometric analysis, particularly GC/MS.
- Experience with flavour, fragrance, food, beverage, or consumer-product analysis.
- Practical laboratory experience gained through employment, internship, academic research, or equivalent technical training.
- Ability to interpret analytical data, apply logical problem-solving, and document work accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to internal stakeholders.
