Job Description:
The Lead Scientist will work in the Chemical Development & API Supply (CDAS) division, addressing synthetic challenges and supporting scale-up activities within the process research and development group. The role involves developing safe and robust chemical processes for intermediates and APIs, which are essential for drug development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in the lab as an individual contributor on the development of safe and robust chemical processes.
- Conduct basic literature searches and carry out multiple reactions at the bench to support R&D activities.
- Follow safety protocols during R&D and scale-up processes.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project leads.
- Document lab work in the electronic lab notebook (ELN) in a timely manner.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Master’s in Organic Chemistry from a reputed institute/university.
- Good understanding of organic chemistry fundamentals.
- Strong academic track record preferred.
- Coordination experience with process R&D, pilot plant, and process safety teams.
Required Skills:
- Previous pharmaceutical process R&D experience is preferable.
- Basic understanding of NMR, HPLC, and GC data.
