Experience Required:
- Experience in coding in Python, C, C++.
- Experience in the Linux environment.
- Significant background in molecular simulations and thermodynamics.
- Experience in quantum/classical molecular simulations, particularly with packages like LAMMPS and GROMACS.
Nature of Work: The IIT Kanpur Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for simulating reactive molecular systems and collaborating with the team to develop molecular models, particularly machine learning potential models. The candidate will also work with the software team to integrate the model into the Material Simulation Platform.
- Duration of Appointment: The appointment will initially be for one year and may be extended with mutual consent, contingent upon the candidate’s performance. The position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis.
- Salary Range: ₹60,000 – ₹85,000 + 20% HRA as per institute norms.
The department reserves the right to set suitable criteria for shortlisting eligible candidates based on qualifications and experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
