DRDO Apprenticeship 2026 Application Procedures

  • Application form may be downloaded from the website www.drdo.gov.in. Candidates are required to fill up the application form by typing only.
  • The completed and duly filled application form should be sent to this Establishment by Speed Post/Registered Post only, addressed to: The Director, Proof & Experimental Establishment (PXE), Defence R&D Organisation, PO- Chandipur, Dist- Balasore, Odisha- 756025 (Kind Attn. OIC, HRDC).
  • The applicant should clearly mention “Application for Engagement of Apprentices, Apprentice Category (Degree/Diploma) and Discipline/Branch……….” on the envelope.
  • Handwritten application forms submitted by candidates will be rejected.

Selection Procedures

  • The Selection Board of PXE will go through applications for DRDO Apprenticeship 2026 and shortlist the candidates based on the percentage of marks secured in the essential qualification.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for Written test/Interview which will be held at PXE, Chandipur.
  • After Interview, selected candidates will be offered joining letter through e-mail only.

Terms & Conditions for Selection of Apprentices

  • Candidates for Graduate Apprentice (BE/B.Tech) and Technician Apprentice (Diploma) are required to register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal (https://www.nats.education.gov.in).
  • Applications received from non-registered candidates or candidates having an invalid Enrollment No. will be rejected.
  • Only candidates who passed their respective courses in the year 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026 are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates with post-graduation degrees will not be considered for selection and hence need not apply.
  • Candidates who have completed the essential qualification through regular mode only are eligible to apply.
  • Graduate/Diploma holders who have training or job experience for a period of one year or more after acquiring the essential qualification will not be considered for selection.
  • The reservation category eligible for selection will be applied as per the provisions of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules 1992, as amended from time to time.
  • The selected candidates must execute a contract for one-year tenure of training as per provisions of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and rules framed thereunder.
  • Before applying, candidates are advised to ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in the advertisement.
  • The offer of the Apprenticeship Training does not confer any right to employment in PXE, DRDO.
  • Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification at any stage of the selection process or thereafter.
  • PXE reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies for Apprenticeship engagement.
  • Any canvassing or personal follow-up with the intention of influencing the process of selection of Apprentices will lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
  • PXE reserves the right to withdraw/cancel the advertisement/selection process if circumstances so warrant, without assigning any reason thereof.
  • Apprentices will not be provided any accommodation/transport by PXE during the training period.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for joining or attending the interview.
