About the Function: Supply Chain & Manufacturing is where Diageo’s brands are made, moved, and delivered to the world. With over half of the workforce spread across more than 100 sites, this complex operation integrates production, logistics, engineering, and supplier partnerships. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, ensuring quality, efficiency, and sustainability at every stage, from sourcing ingredients to delivering products to customers. The Diageo Sourcing Chemist role supports these quality and supplier-management priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis & Quality Control: Analyse Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) samples at the source and manage incoming regional shipments to ensure strict adherence to established quality parameters.
- Vendor Monitoring & First-Time-Right (RFT): Conduct routine monitoring and provide technical guidance to ENA vendors to achieve a Right-First-Time (RFT) quality standard directly at the supply source.
- Data Analytics & CAPA: Maintain and evaluate ENA Management Information Systems (MIS) data to drive data-backed Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Site Audits & Compliance: Lead comprehensive onsite quality audits at ENA vendor facilities, deliver actionable compliance reports, and partner with suppliers to drive continual improvement in audit scores.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications: B.Sc/ M.Sc – Chemistry, Biochemistry, BE/ B Tech/ MTech- Food Tech, Alco Tech, DIFAT
Experience: 2-5 Years PQE from relevant Industry
