CSIR-NCL Project Associate Job Description
CSIR-NCL is looking for a Project Associate to work on a sponsored project titled “Fluxional Homo-Hetero Hybrid Catalyst: Covalent Anchoring of Transition Metal Complexes on MXenes for Selective Electrochemical C-H Amination”. The candidate will be involved in various tasks including the synthesis of MAX phases, electrode fabrication, and execution of targeted organic electrosynthesis reactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Synthesis of MAX phases and etching to MXenes by fluoride and molten salt routes.
- Electrode fabrication from catalyst inks and electrochemical evaluation in three electrode and divided cell setups.
- Execution of targeted organic electrosynthesis reactions with quantification of conversion, selectivity, and faradaic efficiency.
- Upkeep of laboratory records and project instruments, procurement follow-up, and assistance in preparing progress reports.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum Educational Qualifications: Master/Integrated Masters in Natural or Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences/MVSc/Animal Sciences OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University.
- Desirable Qualification: For this CSIR-NCL Project Associate role, an M.Sc in Organic or Analytical Chemistry with prior experience in organic synthesis and knowledge of analytical methods such as GC, GC MS, HPLC, or NMR is desirable.
Age Limit: 35 years (upper age limit relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/PWD/women and 3 years for OBC candidates).
Salary:
Consolidated emoluments per month:
- ₹31,000 + HRA for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET or equivalent.
- ₹25,000 + HRA for others who do not fall under the above category.
