Job Description

The selected candidate will work on a DBT-sponsored project entitled “In-aqueous fabrication of antimicrobial covalent coating on catheters to mitigate catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs)” under the supervision of Prof. Jayanta Haldar. This JNCASR JRF recruitment role involves research and development in the field of antimicrobial coatings, contributing to advancements in medical technology.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on antimicrobial coatings for catheters.
  • Engage in polymer synthesis and characterisation.
  • Collaborate with the research team and contribute to project objectives.
  • Prepare reports and present findings to the principal investigator.
  • Assist in the publication of research results in scientific journals.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course with valid score in any one of the National Level examinations.
  • Desirable Qualification: MSc. Chemistry, CSIR-NET qualified; previous research experience in polymer synthesis, purification, and characterisation of organic compounds would be preferable.
